BROADBAND INTERNET IN NIGERIA VIA EUTELSAT W3 SATELLITE

Are you tired of spending money on slow internet connections in Nigeria? I am giving out a free information on how to get free broadband internet from your satellite tv installation.
The few requirements for this are: 90CM parabolic satellite tv dish, a computer system and a DVB/IP (PCI or USB) installed on your computer system. The PCI goes for a desktop system while the usb type goes for a laptop computer.
The few steps below explain how to get your computer connected to the internet via eutelsat w3 satellite.

STEP 1
The system is a one way internet via satellite setup. You will still need A GSM dial-up connection for to install the dish for you for about 25 rials. You need to get a dish antenna installed to receive signal from Eutelsat W3 satellite. Any regular dish with universal LNB will do. The Eutelsat W3 signal is very strong and can be received easily in Nigeria, it’s even stronger than the famous Hotbird satellites.
STEP 2
You need to get a DVB/IP (PCI or USB) card installed in your PC to receive the data/video signal from the satellite. I would recommend SkyStar 2 DVBIP card which is available in the local market. It comes pre-configured with settings of many internet via satellite service providers. Get the card installed into your PC and hook the satellite cable to the card and ensure that your card can detect the satellite signal (you can surf into the available digital FTA channels available in W3 satellite to make sure that a signal is receivable).
Now you are ready to test your system if it can receive data from the satellite. Go to http://www.eutelsat.net
,www.eutelsat.net and register and download the OpenSky client. Read the provided documentations on how set it up then start the installation process. Once installed you can start downloading programs, music and videos immediately for free from the OpenSky Push service. The Push service is basically a service that multicasts 100s of free files to anyone who has the OpenSky client and you can select whatever files to be saved in your PC for FREE.
STEP 3

Now once you are sure that you can receive data from the satellite with OpenSky client, it’s time to select an internet via satellite provider and subscribe for the service. I recommend either http://www.broadsat.com/
which has unlimited download package for 24 Euros p.m, http://www.europeonline.com/

which has a package for only 9 Euros p.m. but with of 1.5GB download limit. You should note that Braodsat.com has unlimited download packages but the speed is lower than EurpeOnline.com packages with the downloads limits. You can sign-up with either of the providers online and your account will be activated within 24 hours.
Personally I am a Broadsat.com subscriber because of two things: the unlimited downloads package and peer2peer networking support. E-DSL has a higher download and surfing speed (I think around 1.5Mbps) but the only disadvantage with their service is the limited download cap and no support for peer2peer programs.
